Owner

Growing up I always had a strong love for all animals from cats and dogs to bunnies, budgies, fish and the list is endless. This led me to work in a vet clinic in High School and then to pursue schooling in Animal Health. Marrying a farmer and living in the country has allowed me to embrace my love for animals. I am fortunate enough to be able to take in animals including rescuing barn kittens and raising miniature ponies for the last 20 years. It was always in the back of my mind to one day open an animal care business and that day came in the Summer of 2006 when I took the leap. We broke ground on the building of Piper Creek that fall and have been growing for the last ten years. I love coming to work each day and meeting all the animals that come to stay with us. I treasure all the relationships that we have been able to create with our valued customers and the personalities of all the animals we get to know.

I have been working with my Mom, Brenda, at Piper Creek since we opened in 2007 when I was 14. We always had animals growing up and my Mom always rescued and took care of animals from orphaned barn kittens to a whole litter of newborn rottweilers. I developed a love for animals over the years and learned how to take care of them and tend to their needs from my Mom.  Our family pets growing up left a huge impact on me and I felt their loss when they passed away and I knew I needed to be around animals. I have two dogs of my own, a shih-tzu puppy named Millie and a senior shih-tzu named Gideon who I recently adopoted from ARTS Senior Rescue. I also recently began fostering rescue animals and I want to do my part in helping animals in need. I love working at Piper Creek because I get to meet new dogs and cats each week and provide comfort and love to them while their owners are away.

Danielle Smith

Hi my name is Danielle Smith, I’m from Squamish B.C. I am a dedicated animal lover and I’ve been working with dogs for about 6 years now. I was a groomers apprentice for a year and a half and I hope to go to school to become a professional groomer myself. I am also a rescue supporter and I have a few pets myself. One dog named Shelby who is a red tick coonhound and one black cat named Bagheera.

Victoria Redford

I’ve had animals of all sort since I was a kid; bunnies, dogs, hedgehogs, cats, horses. There is a soft spot in my heart for dogs. Currently I have a Lab Border Collie cross, Juniper. She is the light of my life. We enjoy camping and adventuring together. This past winter I started Skijoring and this summer we are dryland training. It’s a BLAST. I am so happy to be part of the Piper Creek Team. The opportunity to work with such an amazing talented group has been more then what I hope for. The health and wellbeing of the dogs always come first, it’s a fun and uplifting environment.
